The National Conference is held only once every three years and features the foremost international experts, researchers, medical professionals and other practitioners as keynote and guest speakers. It’s a rare chance for those people in Australia, New Zealand and near Asia who are affected by Parkinson’s and other movement disorders, their carers, health professionals, practitioners and researchers to find out all of the latest research, management strategies, treatments and products.

Conference Theme and Program Streams
The Conference theme reflects the new brand statement of Parkinson’s Australia, In this Together. Researchers, health professionals, policy makers and those who are affected by Parkinson’s – we are all in this together. The conference brings together this exciting mix of people and highlights our connections with each other. With shared information, creativity and commitment, together we will make a difference.

The conference has been designed to provide people with Parkinson’s, medical practitioners and carers with the latest information and research into Parkinson’s and its management.

  1. Stem Cell research and the potential benefits for those living with Parkinson’s
  2. How environmental and genetic predisposition are involved in the development of Parkinson’s.
  3. In conjunction with the Dystonia Support Group, a stream on Day 2 of the conference will feature the latest information on Dystonia.
